Dr. Kondru joined the Emmes Group in 2024 and most recently served as CEO of Veridix, the company's AI, technology, and data sciences business. He assumes the role at a pivotal moment for Emmes: a company built on almost 50 years of scientific rigor now positioned to combine that legacy with modern AI and technology to accelerate the pace of biomedical discovery. Prior to joining The Emmes Group, Dr. Kondru served as Co-CEO of Medidata Solutions, a global leader in cloud-based clinical development technology, where he helped scale one of the industry's most transformative platforms. He brings 25 years of experience across pharmaceuticals, healthcare technology, data science, and academia, and has built technology-driven businesses that accelerate clinical development and improve patient outcomes. Earlier in his career, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Janssen Americas (Johnson & Johnson) and Vice President and Chief Information Officer for R&D and Innovation at Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices and held leadership roles at UCB Pharma and F. Hoffmann-La Roche.

Dr. Kondru earned his bachelor's degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Bombay) and his Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh, where he also completed postdoctoral research. He has served as an Adjunct Professor at Duke University.
