The first supergrain cracker chip, Breton® Popped!™, launches across Canada

KITCHENER, ON, March 7, 2013 /CNW/ - Canadians love to snack¹ and are in search of "better-for-you" options. To help Canadians find a delicious, guilt-free snack, Dare Foods Limited has introduced Breton® Popped!™, Canada's first supergrain cracker chip. A blend of whole grain "supergrains" is air-popped into naturally flavourful, nutritious cracker chips, making it a healthy alternative to satisfy crunchy cravings.

Like superfruits, "supergrains" are known for their nutritive benefits, such as being high in protein and fibre. Breton® Popped!™ is made with a blend of supergrains, including quinoa, amaranth and millet. To boot, these cracker chips are trans fat and cholesterol free, low in saturated fat and contain no artificial colours or flavours.

Breton® Popped!™ uses an air-popping process that applies heat and pressure to the whole grains. This process ensures the chip's natural flavours are enhanced and that each one is light, airy, crispy and nutritious.
