The Global Presence Alliance Announces its First Accredited Vendors, Biamp and Milestone
RICHMOND, Va., June 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Global Presence Alliance (GPA) today announces that Biamp Systems and Milestone are the first partners to join its new Accredited Vendor Program (AVP). Speaking from Brisbane, Australia GPA Board Director and architect of the program Phil Holtum said, "The Accredited Vendor Program is an important step for the GPA and we're delighted to welcome Milestone and Biamp as the first partners. They both understand the GPA's goals and value proposition, having been great supporters in the past. Formalizing a partnership and aligning deeper and wider stands will greatly benefit them, our members, and customers alike."
"As a board, we recognize that the GPA can only deliver upon our promises if our vendors are in lock step with us. The Accredited Vendor Program is being built around a very select group of leading AV vendors committed to collaborating and partnering with us to raise the bar," said GPA President Byron Tarry. "This program shares knowledge, aligns communication, and allows vendors to develop specific GPA member and customer programs. It also establishes a commitment from the vendor to support any and every member equally, and as one, when it comes to a joint customer effort anywhere in the world."
New Zealand-based GPA Board Director responsible for Operations Eric Greenop commented, "What corporate AV Directors want to know is that hardware will be supported to the same high level anywhere in their organization regardless of location. Organizations don't accept poor quality or long downtime just because it's not New York or London. They want and need a consistent universal SLA they can trust. Our operations council has worked hard to define a truly global delivery and support methodology, the backing of key AVP Vendors means we can deliver, before, during and after installation."
"Our company's global sales organization and application engineers strategically placed around the world make Biamp a natural partner for the Global Presence Alliance," said Ron Camden, vice president of global sales at Biamp Systems. "Biamp's capability to educate GPA clients on technology advances across all markets -- while delivering best-in-class DSP solutions and providing dedicated support to GPA members as they implement those solutions -- is why clients have selected this team so many times. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with GPA members to ensure high global standards in AV solutions for years to come."
For Milestone, Jan Mergen, vice president of international sales and marketing said, "We're excited and honored to be one of the first vendors selected as part of the GPA partnership. We've had long-term relationships with many of the members already and look forward to further growth opportunities as we work more closely together globally."
The GPA will announce further AVP partners in the coming weeks.
