Global engagement of the series is soaring, with more than 37 million video views
for the first three seasons
MIAMI, Jan. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The non-profit Global Wellness Institute (GWI), the leading research organization for the global wellness industry, is pleased to confirm a new series of In Pursuit of Wellness, produced for them by BBC StoryWorks Commercial Productions, following its announcement at the Global Wellness Summit (GWS) in Dubai earlier this month. Claire Small, head of Creative at BBC StoryWorks, took to the stage in Dubai to highlight the phenomenal response to the series and share key storytelling insights.
Presented by the Global Wellness Institute (GWI), BBC StoryWorks first produced the series more than three years ago, with the institute's mission of bringing impactful, more inclusive and science-driven narratives about wellness to a global audience. The series and hub site is an immersive collection of branded films exploring universal principles for living well, captured through stories filmed around the world. Those stories have resonated strongly with audiences: three seasons of In Pursuit of Wellness have recorded more than four million page views on BBC.com, 37 million video views and 40 million social media engagements.
Nancy Davis, chief creative officer & executive director of the Global Wellness Institute, says: "Seeing the reach and results of our series is a powerful reminder of audience appetite for wellness content that educates and inspires, through the universally accessible lens of storytelling. We're excited to continue to build on this momentum and share meaningful stories together in series four."
In 2026, the series will return to screen with its global launch coinciding with the 20th Global Wellness Summit in Phuket, Thailand. Building on its legacy and strong audience engagement, bringing a more science-driven yet deeply human understanding of wellbeing to audiences worldwide, the new season will be shaped around three core themes that map the full wellness ecosystem:
- Wellness in the Home. Where wellness begins. This chapter explores how our domestic environments shape our physical and emotional foundations. We look at sleep, mental wellness and stress management, the personal care rituals that anchor identity, the nutrition and food habits that sustain energy and the invisible "house health" factors like light, air and materials that influence daily wellbeing.
- Wellness in the Community. This chapter will examine the spaces and structures encountered beyond the front door. It explores the future of real estate, buildings and public spaces, along with the healthcare systems and environments where healing takes place. It might also consider age care and intergenerational living and investigate how communities can combat loneliness and strengthen social connection.
- Wellness in the World. This chapter will focus on outward gaze, where personal wellbeing intersects with planetary and cultural wellbeing. This chapter will focus on the choices made on a global and cultural level, exploring greater sustainability and more climate-positive living, travel as a path to restoration and perspective and the role of cultural practices, creativity and art in expanding imagination and connection.
