WORCESTER, Mass., April 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Hanover Insurance Group, Inc. (NYSE: THG) today announced that it has been selected as one of "America's Best Employers" for 2015 by Forbes magazine. Forbes says the list is comprised of companies of which both employees and the public have a good perception.
"We are pleased to be recognized by Forbes magazine and our employees as one of the best places to work in our country and within our industry," said Frederick H. Eppinger, president and chief executive officer at The Hanover. "This honor is particularly important as it reflects how our employees feel about our company. We are proud and grateful that they recognize our commitment to attracting and retaining top talent, employing the best people in our business, and creating an environment where they can develop and enjoy rewarding careers. Being named to the list provides further confirmation that our people are engaged and motivated, focused on serving our customers and our agent partners, and committed to helping our company succeed."
Forbes selected the 500 employers for its inaugural list based on an independent survey by Statista.com of 20,000 American employees working for large U.S. companies and institutions with 2,500 or more employees. Those surveyed were asked through several online touch points if they would recommend their employer, or other companies in their industry, to potential employees. Employees were asked to assess the company's image, development opportunities, working conditions, compensation, workplace and diversity. The Hanover is ranked in Forbes' insurance industry category.
