The Health Collaborative Selects Information Builders Omni-HealthData Cloud Solution to Provide Unified Data Exchange and Analytics Applications

NEW YORK, March 12, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Information Builders, Inc. (IBI), the leading data and analytics company, today announced that The Health Collaborative (THC), a nonprofit health and healthcare improvement organization based in Cincinnati, has selected Omni-HealthData to improve its suite of data-driven technology services for clinicians, providers, payers, and other stakeholders in the healthcare and community ecosystem. THC's implementation of Information Builders Omni-HealthData Cloud solutions, available via AWS, enables a unified health system and payer data exchange that gives users a single source of truth from disparate systems.  In addition, IBI's powerful analytics applications enable rapid decision-making – ultimately improving the lives of patients across the Greater Cincinnati region.

THC's hb/suite of technology services delivers value-based care data and analytics solutions, connecting physicians with each other and their patients. Designed to support health information exchange (HIE) and technology adoption, the hb/suite provides the tools that healthcare providers need to streamline workflows and advance better healthcare in areas such as value-based care and quality improvement.

Initially, THC was looking for a new enterprise data warehouse solution that would allow for clinical data stored in-house for analytical purposes. Key stakeholders quickly realized that there was room for growth across its technology stack and brought Information Builders onsite for a complete assessment. Information Builders partnered with Ready Computing, a health information system integrator and HIE expert, to complete the onsite evaluation and ultimately facilitate the build-out and implementation of the new solution.

Based on the new integrated payer and health system data exchange, analytics applications were developed with Omni-HealthData to support Comprehensive Primary Care Plus (CPC+) and Value-Based Care Analytics -- national initiatives which seek to reform multi-payer payment and transform care delivery. With THC's new Omni-HealthData applications, practices can analyze clinical data and performance measures in the context of these models and submit them to health plans in under one day compared to a process that once took months. Aside from time savings, automating these processes improves THC's customer satisfaction by allowing providers to better focus on patient care.

In addition to analytics, THC is leveraging Omni-HealthData to create a next-generation HIE using a Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resource (FHIR) Gateway to seamlessly distribute data to its customers and partners and embrace the FHIR standard for a more interoperable healthcare system.
