The Lanier Law Firm Attorneys Recognized in 2013 Texas Rising Stars List

HOUSTON, March 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Lanier Law Firm is proud to announce that four attorneys from the firm's Houston office have earned selection to the 2013 Texas Rising Stars list of the state's top up-and-coming lawyers.

Dara Hegar, William H. Barfield, Alex J. Brown and Patrick O'Hara all are featured in this year's listing of the best young attorneys in Texas.

Ms. Hegar, Managing Attorney of the firm's National Asbestos Practice and Commercial Group, was recognized for her litigation practice for the seventh consecutive year. She represents clients across the firm's practice areas, focusing on trial coordination in complex litigation matters.

2013 also marks the seventh time Mr. Brown has been highlighted for his business litigation practice. Mr. Brown is a key member of the firm's commercial litigation team, particularly in the area of bankruptcy litigation.

Mr. O'Hara has earned the Rising Stars distinction each of the past two years based on his work in plaintiff's personal injury litigation. He plays a leading role in the firm's Asbestos and Toxic Exposure practice group.

Mr. Barfield earned the Rising Stars distinction for the first time this year based on his work for personal injury clients. He utilizes his products liability and toxic tort experience as a member of the firm's asbestos litigation group.

The Texas Rising Stars list appears in the April 2013 issues of Texas Monthly and Texas Rising Stars magazines.

Each year, researchers with Thomson Reuters' legal division solicit nominations from attorneys across Texas, asking them to identify the best practicing attorneys age 40 or younger, and those who have been practicing for 10 or fewer years. In all, less than 2.5 percent of all Texas lawyers earn the Texas Rising Stars distinction.
