The Meemic Foundation Celebrates Student Artists
Creative Kids Can Earn Recognition, Money for Classroom
AUBURN HILLS, Mich., March 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Meemic Foundation, a non-profit organization created by Meemic Insurance Company, is introducing an opportunity for children to express their inner artist for the good of their school. The Meemic Foundation is providing the very first chance to showcase the artistic ability of students, taking advantage of their endless flow of creativity, while rewarding classrooms in the process through the K-12 Student Art Contest and Grant Opportunity.
Through April 8, 2016, any Meemic Foundation Club Member can sponsor a student by submitting their original art masterpieces. Up to 50 winning artworks will earn the winning Club member's school a $300 art supplies grant. In addition, each winning artist will receive an Amazon Fire® Tablet and an invitation to our recognition ceremony. All participating students will receive a certificate of appreciation.

"Our staff members are looking forward to the lovely artwork that will decorate our walls while supporting further important educational initiatives throughout our communities."
The contest runs through April 8, 2016. Student artists must be a resident of and currently attending an elementary, middle, or secondary school in Mich., Ill. or Wis.
Artwork must reflect one of the following themes:
• Safety — car, home, fire or school safety
• Education — what students like about their school or teachers
• State — showcase the beautiful Midwestern state where they live
Entries must be an original artwork created by the student and cannot be drawn from any existing artwork not created by the student. No copyright images may be used.
