The Minions Are Coming to Ford City Mall this Saturday, May 14th, Plus More Family Fun Events Planned

CHICAGO, May 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- A couple of crazy, loveable Minions will make an appearance at Ford City Mall on Saturday, May 14, from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Families can line up in the JCPenney wing for a free meet-and-greet and photo opportunity. A limited number of goody bags will be given to kids who visit the Minions, while supplies last. Tracy Munno, general manager of Ford City Mall, said that according to responses on the mall's social media pages, close to 1,000 attendees are expected, so she encourages families to come early and secure a good place in line.

Ms. Munno said that Ford City will be hosting other crowd-pleasing events throughout the summer, including the following:

• Peppa Pig and George Meet & Greet – Saturday, June 11 from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 pm.
  The popular Nick Jr. star and her little brother will make an appearance in the JCPenney wing at Ford City. Families can pose for photos with the siblings and enjoy face painting and free other activities. A limited number of goody bags will be available while supplies last.
• Superhero Day – Saturday, July 16 from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
  Batman, Spiderman, Captain America and Wonder Woman will power into Ford City for a free meet-and-greet event. Kids can make their own superhero masks as well.
• Father's Day Facebook Gift Card Giveaway – June 1-15
  Starting June 1, fans of Ford City can enter to win one of ten store gift cards worth $50 or $100 from Foot Locker, Jimmy Jazz, DTLR, Lids, Champs, Old Navy, HHGregg, JCPenney, Carson's or Famous Footwear.
