The Moorings Elevates On-the-Water Guest Support in the British Virgin Islands

New high-speed chase boats reinforce the yacht charter leader's commitment to reliable service, exceptional customer care and worry-free vacations on the water

CLEARWATER, Fla., Oct. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Moorings, the award-winning global leader in luxury yacht charters, is further strengthening its commitment to exceptional customer service with the introduction of new high-speed support boats in the British Virgin Islands (BVI). Designed to provide faster, more efficient assistance to guests throughout their charter, the upgraded fleet of boats allow The Moorings' dedicated marina base team to reach travelers directly on the water faster than ever before, and in a wide array of weather conditions, offering hands-on support and technical troubleshooting whenever needed.

For more than 55 years, The Moorings has helped travelers discover the world's most extraordinary sailing destinations with the confidence that comes from expert guidance, reliable yachts and attentive customer care. Whether embarking on a fully crewed luxury yacht charter or navigating the islands independently aboard a sailing or power catamaran, guests benefit from a local team who help take the technical and logistical complexities out of a vacation at sea, allowing them to focus on enjoying their time on the water.

"We believe that true luxury is having the freedom to explore with complete confidence, knowing that an experienced team is there to support you every step of the way," said Ian Pedersen, Head of Brand & GTM at The Moorings. "Our guests should be thinking about their next beautiful anchorage, not the technical details of operating a yacht. These new, upgraded support boats are another way we continue to invest in the people, infrastructure and services that make a vacation with The Moorings feel effortless, whether you're an experienced sailor or discovering the joy of chartering for the first time."

These support boats are just one in a long line of reasons The Moorings stands alone as the longest continually-operating charter company in the British Virgin Islands. The Moorings' commitment to guest service begins well before a yacht leaves the dock. From pre-departure vacation planning, yacht preparations and detailed charter briefings to local cruising guidance and on-the-water assistance, The Moorings provides support at every stage of the journey. In the BVI, home to the brand's most established charter operation, The Moorings' extensive marina infrastructure and knowledgeable staff make arrival an experience in itself, allowing guests to settle comfortably into island life before setting sail.

Once underway, that same commitment to service continues. For travelers chartering independently, access to expert technical assistance provides valuable peace of mind, while guests aboard fully crewed yachts enjoy the added reassurance of a professional crew supported by The Moorings' wider network of onshore specialists.
Exceptional service is complemented by The Moorings' award-winning fleet of sailing yachts and power catamarans, thoughtfully designed to combine comfort, performance and ease of exploration. The brand's longstanding reputation for quality is reflected in its industry accolades and recognition from travelers, including Multihull of Year and Boat of the Year awards and recognition from 6 consecutive TripAdvisor Travelers' Choice awards.

The British Virgin Islands remain one of The Moorings' most iconic destinations, where calm turquoise waters, sheltered anchorages and short passages between islands create an ideal setting for both first-time charter guests and seasoned sailors. With the addition of its new high-speed support boats, The Moorings continues to invest in the service, infrastructure and expertise that allow guests to experience the most liberating way to travel on the water.
