The Mystic Cocktail Classic, Presented by Veritable Distillery, Debuts in November

A Celebration of Cocktails, Cuisine, and Community

MYSTIC, Conn., Sept. 4, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- This fall, Mystic, CT will host the Mystic Cocktail Classic (November 7–10), a new event that will bring together some of the most influential voices in the cocktail and spirits world for conversation, competition, and coastal hospitality.

The Mystic Cocktail Classic is presented by Veritable Distillery, a Connecticut producer specializing in farm-to-glass spirits, with a commitment to small-batch production, local sourcing, and radical transparency.

At the center of the Classic are four "Spirited" cocktail dinners hosted at several of Mystic's favorite food and drink spots:

• Liqueur Spirited Dinner at Via Emilia – Friday, November 7
• Gin Spirited Dinner at The Shipwright's Daughter – Saturday, November 8
• Rum Spirited Dinner at The Port of Call – Sunday, November 9
• Whisk(e)y Spirited Dinner at The Jealous Monk – Monday, November 10

Each evening will kick off with a happy hour and panel discussion, followed by an intimate dinner pairing cocktails with inventive menus crafted in collaboration with the featured talent.

The Mystic Cocktail Classic welcomes some of the most respected names in the field, including:

• Jackson Cannon – Eastern Standard & Equal Measure, Boston
• Shannon Mustipher – Author of Tiki: Modern Tropical Cocktails

Their participation underscores Mystic's growing role as a meeting point for serious conversation around spirits, food, and hospitality.

The weekend culminates with the live finale of the Mystic Cocktail Competition on November 10 at The Jealous Monk. Four finalists will showcase their creations before judges and guests. Prizes include:

Beyond the dinners and competition, the Mystic Noank Library Book Fair on November 8 will feature signings, seminars, and cocktail book pop-ups. Nightly bar crawls will also invite guests to experience Mystic's growing cocktail scene through guest bartender takeovers and exclusive menus.
