The National Parkinson Foundation Welcomes New Board Member

MIAMI, Aug. 21, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Parkinson Foundation (NPF) announced the election of a new member to its Board of Directors: Dr. Guido Goldman.

Guido Goldman, PhD, was elected to the board in May 2015. Dr. Guido Goldman has been the Director of the Program for the Study of Germany at the Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies of Harvard University since 1989. He served as Director of the Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies from 1969 to 1994. Dr. Goldman has been Chairman of the Board and President of First Spring Corporation, engaged in private asset management since 1985. Dr. Goldman served as Co-Chairman of German Marshall Fund of the United States, of which he was the founder. He serves as a Member of American Advisory Board at Christie's International SA. He also served as chairman of the American Foundation for Textile Art, Inc., and as a vice chairman of the board of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, and a board member of the American Council on Germany. The Dr. Guido Goldman Fellowship for the Study of German and European Economic and International Affairs, sponsored by the American Council on Germany, was established in 2003 to honor Dr. Goldman's work in political science and his study of economics and foreign relations as they apply to transatlantic affairs.
