The Nova Music Festival Exhibition is Coming to Boston in September
Exhibit telling the story of "06:29 am - The Moment Music Stood Still" has been viewed by half a million people across the world
BOSTON, Sept. 3, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- The Nova Music Festival Exhibition, a groundbreaking and profound tribute to the unifying power of music, the lives lost, and the survivors of the brutal October 7, 2023 Hamas terror attack on Israeli sovereignty, is coming to Boston for a limited period of time, from September 25 to October 21 in South Boston.
The festival made its first international appearance in New York City, and, after being viewed by a total of half a million people who visited the powerful commemoration installation in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Toronto, Buenos Aires, and Tel Aviv, will come to New England for the first time. The installation is a must-see experience, essential to remembering and understanding the events of the largest massacre in music history and empathizing with what happened and who it happened to.
On Friday, October 6, 2023, thousands of music and arts fans gathered for a celebration of life, peace, and music in Re'im Israel for the Nova Music Festival. At 6:29 a.m. the next morning, the festival was savagely cut short when thousands of Hamas terrorists invaded Israel, killing 1,200 people, including 411 at the festival itself, and abducting 251 people, including 43 innocent civilians attending the festival.
"The story of the Nova Music Festival is one of strength, resilience and community," said Omri Sassi, Founder and Producer of the Nova Music Festival. "When we first gathered in Tel Aviv, our message was to honor and remember the victims of the October 7 terrorist attack on our country, our family, and our friends. It's been an honor to share this story internationally to remind the world that we will dance again."
The exhibit is experiential, educational, and commemorative. Visitors will embark on a full sensory journey through the timeline of the Nova Music Festival, reliving the harrowing events of that fateful day. Moving through the re-created festival grounds with actual items and evidence on display, attendees will witness first-hand footage from the attack and hear powerful, emotional testimonies from festival survivors and bereaved family members who will be onsite daily at the exhibit.
Surrounded by the actual items from the festival—charred vehicles, bullet-ridden bathroom stalls, abandoned merchandise stands, and scattered personal belongings left behind in the aftermath—visitors will experience the raw, lingering impact of the attack.
The exhibition honors more than the tragic events of 10/7; it celebrates the resilient spirit of the Tribe of Nova community in the immediate aftermath of that day, transforming profound loss into purposeful action.
"The Nova community is centered around light, and now more than ever, we need to continue to spread that message," said Ofir Amir, Founder and Producer of the Nova Music Festival. "It is important, as part of our core values, that we take care of our community, help lead in the rehabilitation of the Nova survivors, and make our voices heard to the whole world."
"The Nova Exhibition is a powerful symbol of resilience and remembrance, especially as we approach the second anniversary of the October 7 attacks," said Dan Kraft, President-International of The Kraft Group, who led a group of local supporters that has been instrumental in bringing the exhibit to Boston. "We've worked closely with the Nova team to honor those innocent souls taken on that day and ensure that Nova's mission is felt across Boston and the New England region."
"The Nova Music Festival Exhibition is not an exhibition about Nova. It is Nova itself - an authentic, piercing, and unfiltered testimony to the events of Black Saturday," said Exhibit Creator Reut Feingold. "While working on the exhibition, I came to realize that the story of the Tribe of Nova community is relevant to every human being living in modern civilization. 'We will dance again,' the life philosophy that has become so deeply associated with the community, unites people around the world who draw inspiration from the tribe members' journey of healing. I am deeply moved by the fact that the Nova Music Festival Exhibition has become a beacon for hundreds of thousands of Jews and non-Jews alike, who experience through it the fatal encounter between morality and the sanctity of life, and those who choose hatred, violence, and fanaticism. As a mother, as an Israeli, as a Jew, and as a citizen of the world – I believe we must continue spreading the story of the Nova community and never allow the events of October 7 to fade into distant memory."
Net proceeds from the exhibition will go to supporting the Nova community including initiatives and support programs for victims and families of the October 7 massacre.
