Petland is a franchise company started in Ohio over 50 years ago committed to matching the right pet with the right person and meeting the needs of both!
As future members of your community, we want to take the time to tell you a little bit about our family and our businesses. Lamar and Debbi Parker started their first Petland as a family-owned and operated business 17 years ago in Kennesaw, Ga. Since that store opened, we have committed our time and energy to the focus of responsible pet ownership for every single person to walk through our doors. And then in 2014, we expanded our Petland family to include a location in Sarasota, Florida, which had been operating in the community for nearly 17 years.
There is a central theme that is consistent with our locations and that is to continue to raise the bar when it comes to animal care and husbandry. Our dedicated Pet Counselors take great pride in the superior care we provide to our small animals, birds, fish and more. And our highly trained kennel staff have the most stringent of protocols when caring for our puppies and kittens. Our mantra is promoting education above everything else when it comes to placing pets with their new owners. We also put a big focus on making sure people go home with the supplies they need to keep their pets happy and healthy!
We know that it is always very important to be transparent when it comes to the question, "Where do you get your pets?" It is well-known that the Petland name is synonymous with an excellent quality of care and we think that Petland Kennesaw is the cream of the crop, but it all starts with our breeders! We will continue to be a beacon of excellence when it comes to the practice of animal husbandry and care as well as pushing the dial when it comes to breeding practices. We receive our puppies from only the most caring, responsible breeders in the country. We also require the highest standards of vaccination and preventative medication protocols in the country. Petland wants to raise the bar when it comes to taking care of not only our little puppies, but the parents they came from.
In an effort to showcase our breeders and the standards of care our puppies are raised in, we have created videos for our customers to see what we regularly experience on our annual breeder trips. We also have blog pages dedicated to highlighting our breeders as we visit and work with them. We are proud to partner with people that share our love of animals and work hard to make sure they are taken care of and loved.
