The PenFed Foundation for Military Heroes Announces Veteran Entrepreneur Program August 2025 Cohort

The Six-Week Program Provides Networking and Mentorship for Veteran-Owned Companies

TYSONS, Va., Aug. 21, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- The PenFed Foundation for Military Heroes, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting veterans in their transition from service to success, is proud to announce its Veteran Entrepreneur Program's August 2025 cohort. The six-week accelerator program for veteran-owned businesses begins with a three-day in-person seminar in Bentonville, Arkansas.

The program brings together veteran-owned companies from across the country to participate in networking events, roundtable discussions and one-on-one mentorship. Participants gain expert guidance from seasoned business leaders on business development, marketing and brand strategy, communications and investor pitching.

The program is free of charge for participants. The PenFed Foundation for Military Heroes does not take equity in the businesses. Veterans and military spouses who own or lead companies that are interested in upcoming cohorts are encouraged to apply here.

The August 2025 cohort includes:

• Portiv
  Founded by U.S. Army veteran Andy McIndoe, Portiv is a mobility infrastructure company that is creating a network of FAA-compliant vertiports for advanced air mobility (AAM) aircraft. The company utilizes proprietary software to identify, build, and manage these dual-use vertiports, which serve both military and civilian needs across rural America. Portiv prioritizes safety with integrated drone-threat mitigation systems and utilizes quantum charging technology for autonomous operations and sustainable power solutions.
• R. Riveter
  Founded by military spouse Lisa Bradley, R. Riveter is a mission-driven handbag brand providing flexible income opportunities for military families. Each bag is handmade by a nationwide network of military spouses, helping them build careers despite frequent relocations. Featured on Shark Tank and recognized by major media outlets, R. Riveter combines American craftsmanship with a powerful mission to support and uplift the military community.
