The Pet Health People LLC and Midwest Co-Pack LLC Re-Open Candy Plant in Winona, Minnesota

Midwest Co-Pack LLC announced today its successful purchase of a former candy factory in Winona, Minnesota which had operated since the early 1900s and closed its doors last year. Amy Paris, the company's CEO, bought the factory with the intent of making it the primary supplier for her flagship company, The Pet Heath People, LLC, maker of LICKS^® Pill Free Solutions. 

Leveraging the expertise of former plant employees, that boast an average tenure of 25 years in food manufacturing, state of the art machinery and a quickly growing principal customer in PHP, MWCP looks to produce tens of thousands of pounds of finished goods daily.  While such credentials warrant the business of some of the largest companies in America, it is MWCP's mission to cultivate an entrepreneurial and familial culture, providing pet and human food contract manufacturing services for innovative brands, focused on achieving a 100% made in America food chain for their human and furry customers.

The Winona WorkForce Center, which is funded by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Security, worked diligently with MWCP to quickly fill open positions at the factory to get it up and running in record time.

MWCP is currently recruiting for all positions including but not limited to: maintenance, finance, operations, research and development and administration. 

On Tuesday, April 11^th at 3:00PM Amy will host a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Winona Chamber Ambassadors at the front doors of the MWCP factory. All are welcome to attend.
