David Grant Promoted to General Manager of THE RANCH Restaurant & Saloon

ANAHEIM, Calif., May 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- One of Orange County's most critically acclaimed and award winning restaurants THE RANCH Restaurant & Saloon, recently promoted David Grant to the position of general manager. Initially hired in late fall of 2013 as a banquet manager for the newly opened Private Dining & Events Center located on the sixth floor above THE RANCH Restaurant & Saloon, Grant was promoted by Ranch Owner, Andrew Edwards, to oversee all Ranch daily operations. Grant came to THE RANCH from his most recent role as food & beverage director for Ogden Golf Club in Ogden, Utah.

Grant will now oversee 53,000 square feet of dedicated restaurant, saloon and private dining & events space.  "The opening of the Private Dining & Events Center called for a unique skill set; with David's extensive hotel and banquet knowledge and diverse fine dining and beverage background it is a great overall fit for The Ranch," said Edwards. The Private Dining & Events Center is home to four private dining rooms available to reserve for small and large scale events. The Study, seating 40 guests, The Dining Room, seating 72 guests, The Hospitality Suite, seating 120 guests and The Great Room, seating 264 guests.

Originally raised in Orange County, Grant's late father Major, Gary R. Grant, a decorated marine pilot, moved the family to Mission Viejo, CA while stationed at the old El Toro Marine Corps Air Base. Grant also has family ties to the city of Anaheim. "My aunt lived by Angel Stadium, and I have very fond memories of riding my bike to Angel stadium, when Anaheim was still full of orange groves. I remember watching all the games there seeing Reggie Jackson, Mark Fitch and Rod Carew; I am really enjoying being back in Orange County," said Grant.

Grant's 25 year career span in the hospitality industry includes food & beverage management positions held at many notable five-star resorts including the AAA Five Diamond luxury resort The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, The Wigwam Resort, Scottsdale Starwood Resort and The Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix. Once known as the escape for Hollywood's Golden Era elite, The Arizona Biltmore is where Grant managed the hosting of three sitting presidents; President, George H. W. Bush, and Presidents, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, respectively.
