LOS ANGELES, Dec. 7, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- After rescheduling the opening of their U.S. Tour at The Conga Room in Los Angeles, GRAMMY Award winning Cuban band, Los Van Van have confirmed their LA appearance for Tuesday and Wednesday, December 14 and 15.

Los Van Van, who touched down on U.S. soil last Friday, were originally scheduled to kick off their first U.S. tour in more than 10 years at The Conga Room Los Angeles, but, since missing the dates due to government delays, they went on with their next scheduled stop in Houston where they played to a sold out crowd. Their three New York concert dates this week have already sold out.

Formed by Juan Formell in 1969, Los Van Van are innovators of the Cuban style of a genre known as 'Songo,' a reshaped version of the traditional sound combining Afro-Cuban, rock, hip-hop, funk, and disco. In 1999, Los Van Van received a GRAMMY Award in the Latin category of Best Salsa Performance from their album "Van Van is Here" (Llego Van Van). It was at The Conga Room that they received this award.
Arriving Monday, December 13th in Los Angeles for a scheduled press conference at The Conga Room at 3:00 p.m., Los Van Van is expected to attend 'Foxxhole Live' a weekly, R & B variety series with GRAMMY Award winner Jamie Foxx, hosted by Mark Curry which includes surprise appearances from top talent including Stevie Wonder, Tyrese, Macy Gray and others. Mr. Foxx will be celebrating his birthday in what promises to be a great prelude to the two Los Van Van concerts.
The Conga Room and KPFK will present Los Van Van in their exclusive LA appearance on Tuesday December 14th and Wednesday, December 15th, 2010, at The Conga Room at L.A. Live, located at 800 W.
