Thanks to the collection and repair efforts, local families will receive a bike for their child in addition to other Christmas Assistance that The Salvation Army is able to provide to them. Bike donations will be accepted at Kraynick's Bike Shop @ 5003 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA during the month of November. These will then be distributed at our Worship and Service Centers throughout Allegheny County in advance of Christmas.

Volunteers sort, pack and arrange for more than 35,000 toys to be delivered throughout Allegheny County. The Greater Pittsburgh Women's Auxiliary, the Marine Safety Unit of Pittsburgh, Boy Scout Troop #143, and a variety of other volunteer groups and individual volunteers from the area will provide support during this week. Sorting and collection will take place at The Salvation Army's Warehouse, located @ 820 Parish Street, Green Tree.

Four families with a total of 18 children will be transported via limo bus to the Bob's Furniture Store where the red carpet will literally be rolled out for them. At the Giant Eagle Market District located in Settler's Ridge, on-air talent from local iHeart Media stations including WDVE, KISS FM, Big Country, The X and 3WS will serve as celebrity bell ringers for the Red Kettle Christmas Campaign during the morning rush, over the lunch hours and during the afternoon rush. Celebrities on board to date include 'DVE's Val Porter, Bill Crawford and Sean McDowell, Johnny Hartwell from 3WS and "Mikey" from the "Mikey and Big Bob" show on KISS FM. iHeart Radio will also host an Online Red Kettle to collect funds for The Salvation Army.
