ATLANTA, Sept. 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The smart fortwo is rolling into Seattle this weekend to show city dwellers how to make their commute on I-5 a 'smart' one. At Westlake Center on Saturday, September 17th and Sunday, September 18th from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., participants can experience firsthand why the smart fortwo is the ultimate Seattle city car.
This summer, a selection of smart fortwo coupes and cabrios are road tripping across the U.S., stopping in a different city every weekend to allow residents to take the smart fortwo for a spin. Test drives take place in well-known city shopping malls or other high-traffic urban locations, where drivers who complete the test drive earn a complimentary $20 gift card.
The smart fortwo can adapt to any and all weather conditions Seattle has to offer. With available automatic sensing windshield wipers, a sensor detects rainfall and automatically activates and adjusts the wipers depending on rain intensity and density. The smart fortwo also offers a suite of driver assistance systems including Crosswind Assist to keep the vehicle in its lane in windy weather conditions, Hill Start Assist to maintain brake pressure to prevent unwanted rollback when driving on an incline and an optional proximity warning function to warn of potential collisions. With a convertible top that can be closed in just 12 seconds and operated at any speed, the smart fortwo cabrio also takes the worry out of open top driving on overcast days.
The all-new smart fortwo was redesigned from the ground up to provide ultimate urban mobility and self-expression. With a length of just 8.8 feet and a turning circle of 22.8 feet, the smart fortwo sets new benchmarks in maneuverability—perfect for urban driving.
By using the smart fortwo's industry-exclusive cross connect app, passengers can turn their own compatible smart phone into a free touchscreen navigation and infotainment system that allows users to create personalized playlists for their daily commute. For increased comfort and convenience, the smart fortwo also includes standard Bluetooth® audio streaming and hands-free calling, a multifunction steering wheel, cruise control, automatic climate control and 3.5" color display and alarm.
As an extension of the Mercedes-Benz product portfolio, the smart fortwo offers personalization, convenience, safety, efficiency and affordability—the 2016 smart fortwo coupe starts at $14,650 and the all-new smart cabrio starts at $18,900.
