The Strategic Financial Alliance Holds First Diamond Trip For Top-Level Advisors On Caribbean Island Of Curacao

ATLANTA, Dec. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Strategic Financial Alliance (SFA), a leading, privately owned independent broker-dealer and Registered Investment Advisor, today announced that it recently held the firm's first Diamond Trip. The gathering, which ran from October 18 – 20, 2015, was held at the Santa Barbara Beach & Golf Resort on the Caribbean island of Curaçao and brought together 14 of SFA's leading independent financial advisors and their guests, as well as senior-level home office personnel and leaders from the world of business and wealth management, for an experience combining business, education, and networking in an informal and unique setting.

The two-day conference encompassed a range of activities, including discussions of relevant industry matters affecting advisors and informal networking opportunities.

The gathering was highlighted by presentations given by two members of XCOR Aerospace, a rapidly growing private spaceflight and rocket-engine development company dedicated to making the dream of commercial spaceflight a reality. XCOR is in the early stages of building a civilian space port in Curaçao. Zach Oschin, an intern who specializes in youth outreach and engagement at XCOR, discussed his experience in attracting investors and customers in new ways, and how XCOR differentiates itself from its competitors, among other topics. At 17 years of age, Zach's objective is to be the youngest person in space.

Zach was followed by Harry Van Hulten, co-founder and test pilot for XCOR Space Expeditions and former Royal Dutch Airforce pilot, who discussed his role at XCOR and drew similarities to the operation of financial advisors as small business owners.
