The Titan Agency Adds to Trophy Case With Two Atlanta ADDY Awards for Outstanding Creative Work

ATLANTA, March 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Titan Agency, an Atlanta-based executive marketing agency (EMA) with offices in Miami, recently brought home two coveted ADDY awards in the non-traditional advertising category from the Atlanta Ad Club, the premier creative resource for Atlanta's advertising and creative professionals.

Both awards, one Gold ADDY and one Bronze ADDY, centered on activities for the Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA) to help promote new exhibits being showcased in 2011.

Titan's Gold ADDY Award, titled "MODA AIDS Project," was awarded for the creation of Atlanta's largest-ever AIDS awareness poster. Volunteers from the museum and The Titan Agency staffed a mobile photo booth during the 41st Atlanta Pride Festival October 7-9, 2011 in the parking lot of Blake's on the Park, a restaurant located in Atlanta's midtown district.

Participants were asked to pose for photos holding a five-foot-tall AIDS ribbon made of red faux fur and feather boa materials. All the photos were then used to create the poster, which was unveiled December 1, 2011 at MODA in conjunction with World AIDS Day.

The poster was then featured as part of MODA's exhibit, "Graphic Intervention: 25 Years of International AIDS Posters" which showcases more than 150 posters from around the world.

In addition to the poster, the exhibit included panels from the AIDS Memorial Quilt where different blocks of the quilt were shown each month.

"MODA Duck Bomb," winner of the Bronze ADDY, was a viral marketing promotion developed for promotion of the MODA exhibit "WaterDreams: the Art of Bathroom Design," which opened its doors June 26th, 2011. Titan team members converged on the corner of Peachtree and 14th Street in pre-dawn hours to layout over 500 plastic rubber ducks covering nearly one mile of sidewalk.

The rubber ducks were free to those who wanted to take them.  MODA only requested that people take a photo of their new fowl friend in their home's bathroom and share on the MODA Facebook page and Twitter feed. By mid-day, dozens of photos from people who had taken a duck home poured into the MODA Facebook page.

Local morning shows, including crews from CBS Better Mornings and 11 Alive's "The Commuter Dude," were drawn to the spectacle for live feeds throughout the morning.

The ADDY Award consists of three levels of judging: local, regional and national. Winners from the Atlanta ADDY Awards will progress to the next level for judging.
