The Urgency Room Breaks Ground On Its Third Location In Vadnais Heights
The UR partners with Allina Health for a Faster, Friendlier Alternative to the ER Set to Open This Spring!
VADNAIS HEIGHTS, Minn., Nov. 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
WHAT: Groundbreaking for The Urgency Room in Vadnais Heights
Emergency Physicians Professional Association (EPPA), creators of The Urgency Room (UR) in Woodbury and Eagan along with Allina Health are proud to break ground on the third UR location in Vadnais Heights at the northeast corner of County Road E and Labore Road. The new UR facility is being developed by The Davis Group and will be 14,000 square feet when completed. The UR staff will include 65 nurses, paramedics, guest service personnel and physicians.
The Urgency Room opened its first location in Woodbury in the fall of 2010. The second location in Eagan opened in October of this year. Along with the other locations, The UR in Vadnais Heights will provide emergency medical care with board-certified emergency physicians and highly skilled ER nurses and paramedics. Unlike Woodbury and Eagan, the Vadnais Heights location will be attached to an Aspen Medical Clinic facility. All UR locations, including Vadnais Heights, are open 7 days a week, 365 days a year and open to all patients regardless of clinic affiliation.
The UR is the region's first medical facility of its kind to offer a unique alternative to a hospital-based ER for people who feel they need urgent medical care. To date, The Urgency Room has treated patients with everything from broken bones and serious lacerations to blood clots and heart attack symptoms. The UR provides the same level of care as an ER, but with faster and friendlier service. Staffed exclusively with ER physicians, experienced ER nurses and paramedics, The Urgency Room offers the best possible care for patients of all ages, including infants and children.
From the moment a patient walks through the doors of The UR, their uncertainty and anxiety with situation and wait time is alleviated. The UR facility and process is designed to make patients as comfortable as possible, expediting their evaluation and care all while controlling the cost associated with a typical ER visit.
Community Partnership
The Vadnais Heights facility is set to open to the public in the spring of 2013. EPPA and The Urgency Room are eager to collaborate with Allina Health in this new venture and are excited to become a part of the Vadnais Heights community!
