RADNOR, Pa., Feb. 3, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- During VWR's 2016 American Sales Conference, the VWR Foundation celebrated the Company's sales team by making charitable contributions in their honor. The Foundation, dedicated to giving back to the science community, will be donating a total of $100,000 across five organizations.
VWR, a leading, independent provider of laboratory products, services and solutions, supports the VWR Foundation by donating a portion of its sales of VWR Collection products in the U.S. In 2015, sales of these products raised a total of $350,000 for the VWR Foundation.
Throughout the year, the Company conducts a regional competition for its sales organization. As a part of this competition and as a way to thank the sales organization for its efforts, each winning sales team selects an organization aligned with the VWR Foundation's mission to receive a donation on its behalf.
This year's donations include $40,000 to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, $25,000 to the SickKids Foundation, $20,000 to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, $10,000 to St. Jude Children's Hospital and $5,000 to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
