The Watershed Addiction Treatment Programs Offers $6,000 in Scholarships
DELRAY BEACH, Fla., Nov. 7, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Recently, The Watershed Addiction Treatment Programs announced that six scholarships will be offered this year to students who are either currently enrolled or accepted in an accredited college or university.
Each semester, three $1,000 scholarships will be offered by The Watershed, which includes a Health Care Scholarship, Addiction Science Scholarship, and Addiction Recovery Scholarship.
The deadline for the January 2019 semester has passed and the recipients will be announced shortly. The recipients of the scholarships are selected by a committee at The Watershed based on specific criteria and then awarded $1,000 toward their tuition. The next deadline for the scholarships is June 30, 2019 for the fall semester.
The Health Care Scholarship is eligible for college and university students who are currently enrolled and/or accepted by an accredited school and seeking a degree in the Health Care field, such as nursing, pre-med, nutrition, therapy, psychology, social work, health science, radiology, phlebotomy, surgery, pediatric, etc.
Similarly, the students who are eligible to apply for the Addiction Science Scholarship must be currently enrolled and/or accepted by an accredited college or university and seeking a degree in the Addiction Science field, such as addiction studies, mental health, neurochemistry, etc.
The Addiction Recovery Scholarship is a unique scholarship offered by The Watershed. This scholarship is for individuals who have been in recovery from drug addiction and/or alcoholism for at least two years and have already successfully completed one year at an accredited college or university.
