The World's Finest Spirits to be Poured and Tasted During Philadelphia Whiskey & Fine Spirits Festival

PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 18, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- With approximately 300 products featured, the 10th annual Philadelphia Whiskey & Fine Spirits Festival will truly offer something for everyone, from the spirits novice to the connoisseur. The event will be held at Lincoln Financial Field on Thursday, October 24, 2013.  The VIP tasting will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. while the Grand Tasting will follow from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.   

"Consumers will have the opportunity to try a wide variety of products, from the truly unique, like Mama Walker's Maple-Bacon Liqueur, to the hard-to-get Pappy Van Winkle Whiskey 20-Year-Old Family Reserve," said Joseph E. Brion, chairman of the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board "Some of the master distillers who make these products will also be on hand to discuss their products, techniques and even sign the bottles you purchase."

In addition, festival-goers will be able to taste single-batch bourbons, select scotches and flavored and unflavored vodkas. Some of the highlights of this year's event include the Buffalo Trace Saloon, with live entertainment; and the Ciroc Carnivale, featuring the brand-new Ciroc Amaretto; and Dewar's Honey Suite, where you can get your bottle engraved with a personal message.  At The Woodford Reserve Manhattan Experience, local bartenders will mix up creative craft-bourbon cocktails and festival attendees will vote to see which is the most popular.

Many of the spirits tasted will be available for purchase at the on-site Fine Wine & Good Spirits Store. Food from local restaurants will also be available, so attendees may enjoy responsibly. You must be at least 21 years old to enter.

VIP Tickets are available for $150.00; Grand Tasting tickets are $95.00 in advance and $105.00 at the door.  They may be purchased online at www.phillymag.com/philly/whiskeyfest. Designated Driver tickets are also available at a discount.
