SHANGHAI, June 18 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- The 18th China - Shanghai International Wedding Photographic Equipment Exhibition & International Children's Photography, Theme Photography, Photo Album & Frame Exhibition, the largest and most influential exhibition of its kind in the world, will be staged from July 1-4, 2010 at three venues: INTEX Shanghai (77, Xingyi Rd), ShanghaiMart (99, Xingyi Rd) and Shanghai Everbright Convention & Exhibition Centre (88, Caobao Rd). Sponsored by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Shanghai Sub-Council, the China Portrait Photography Society and the Shanghai Photographers' Association, and organized by Shanghai International Exhibition Service Corporation, the exhibition will be the largest event in the wedding photography industry.

An industry event taking place at three venues simultaneously

Coinciding with the Expo 2010 Shanghai, the event, featuring an exhibition space of 70,000 square meters, is expected to attract more than 600 exhibitors from mainland China, Italy, France, the U.S., Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Macao, Hong Kong and Taiwan, as well as 135,000 visitors, remaining the largest exhibition of its kind in the world. Exhibits will include upstream and downstream products and services of the wedding photography industry. The organizer has worked out an effective layout for the display of various exhibits in the three venues: INTEX Shanghai will display wedding dresses and themed clothes on the first floor and children's theme photography, children's clothes and props on the second floor. ShanghaiMart will display photo albums and frames on the first floor; model racks of photography studios on the second floor; make-up, accessories and groceries for photography studios on the third floor; special wedding dresses on the fourth floor; articles for photography studios on the fifth floor; and consulting and other services on the seventh floor. The Shanghai Everbright Convention & Exhibition Centre West Hall will display backgrounds and props for photography studios on the first floor; theme photography on the third floor and photo albums and frames in the outdoor exhibition area, while the East Hall will display photo albums and frames, furniture and space decorations for photo studios on the first floor and photo albums, frames and consumables on the second floor. In order to provide visitors with the best access to this big event, the organizer of the Exhibition, Shanghai International Exhibition Service Corporation, also arranged for air-conditioned buses to enable free travel for visitors among the three venues.

Blue wedding dresses and themed frames help create romantic weddings during Expo 2010 Shanghai

Statistics show that about 10 million pairs of young couples get married in China every year, with wedding expenditures amounting to hundreds of billions of yuan, and 88.4 percent of the couples need to take wedding photos. As the post-80s generation is reaching marriageable age as a huge social group, the wedding sector is expected to maintain strong growth momentum over the next ten years and therefore is considered a "spectacular gold mine", according to industry insiders. On the occasion of the Expo 2010 Shanghai, 150,000 pairs of couples are expected to get married in Shanghai alone this year, and the creative World Expo elements will bring new couples a unique and meaningful wedding experience. Exhibitors will pull out all the stops to bring visitors the most fashionable wedding dresses and clothes. Items on display that combine World Expo elements such as blue wedding dresses and themed frames are set to become the biggest attention getters. Supporting activities bring about a fantastic experience

The sponsors will also join hands with Professional Photographers of America (PPA), the largest association for professional photographers in the world, to hold the 2010 International Portrait Photography Summit on 29-30 June at the Guang Yun Room No.1, Shanghai Everbright Convention & Exhibition Centre International Hotel to boost China's photography culture, enhance the exchange and cooperation between global photographers and improve the ability of Chinese portrait photographers and executives. A number of open classes including "the 10th National Association of Photography Profession Conference," "2010 ZFC Makeup Press Conference" and "Fashion and Wedding Dress" and activities such as technical exchange forums will be staged during the event to boost participation of industry players.
