The main event will be held in Los Angeles, CA at the Barnsdall Gallery Theatre March 17th, 2013 – in tandem with hundreds of parallel events occurring all over the world. Prior main events have been well documented by news agencies, including the New York Times and Huffington Post in America, with speakers and attendees coming from all around the world to discuss the state of society and how to improve it.
The 2013 symposium entitled "Realizing Human Progress & Sustainability" will address the most pressing social issues of our time with key lectures from Social Activist & Filmmaker Peter Joseph, Author of "Robots will steal your job, but that's ok"; Federico Pistono, Founder of Cybernated Farm Systems; Douglas Mallette and others.
This daylong event will also showcase speakers covering the most current understandings in the areas of: Human Values, Real Economy, Applied Science, Technological Unemployment and Global Sustainability.
