NEW YORK, June 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- In just one week since online job-matching service TheLadders revealed its native iOS mobile app, "Job Search by TheLadders" has risen to top ranks on the App Store^SM, claiming the number-one spot in the "Free" and "Business" categories, and joining the "Top 50 Apps" overall. The industry-disruptive app, which surpassed pioneering giants including Facebook and Indeed, provides an unprecedented way to identify job matches on-the-go, discover new job opportunities, and retrieve information on the competition.

When viewing a job they like, they can either tap the save icon to revisit it later, or tap the "thumbs-up" icon to "like" the position, which immediately alerts the hiring manager. Additionally, job listings are refreshed every time the mobile app is opened, ensuring that job seekers are privy to the newest listings.

The iPhone® app also includes "TheLadders Scout," a proprietary, competitive-analysis tool that arms potential applicants with self-reported information about fellow candidates in five categories: years of experience, education level, areas of expertise, current title, and current salary. With a quick swipe of a finger on the new job-discovery mechanism, job seekers will be able to view other jobs to which a specific applicant has applied.
