Therap is aligned with conflict free care coordination initiatives in New York as outlined by OPWDD

ALBANY, N.Y., Jan. 31, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- As the move from Medicaid service coordination to conflict-free care coordination organizations(CCOs) takes place, Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities providers in New York will need to partner with a reputable electronic health record (EHR) provider and are using Therap's EHR to meet criteria set forth by the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD).

Therap Services, national leader in the IDD EHR industry, is helping agencies meet state-specific documentation criteria, and has also supported the transition to conflict free case management in states that have already made this transition.

Therap already provides its documentation software to over 90 agencies in New York. Therap stands ready to assist agencies in safely sharing of data with any CCO once this new environment is defined. Therap is currently meeting with many of the potential CCO organizations across the state in consideration of the data.

Collectively they cover a 21-county service area. HealtheLink and GRRHIO are part of the Statewide Health Information Network of New York (SHIN-NY).  

Therap connectivity into the statewide HIE allows for data sharing by the many organizations that might be a part of the care required to support an individual. That communication is made possible with this connectivity, as well as the ability for data sharing across the entire caregiver network.
