TheStreet Announces Winner Of Inaugural StockPickr Competition

NEW YORK, Aug. 14, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- TheStreet (NASDAQ:TST) today announced Alex Pottmeyer as the winner of "The Next Great StockPickr" competition which was held for the first time in April. Pottmeyer is a rising sophomore at the University of Pittsburgh where he plans to study finance. His winning video focused on Apache Corporation.

"The Next Great StockPickr" competition invites college and graduate students to submit a one-minute video presenting and analyzing a stock they believe will show the most gains that year. Entries were submitted online and the winning video was selected by TheStreet's founder and chief markets commentator, Jim Cramer, and his research team.

"Alex's video submission on Apache was the perfect combination of a well-thought out thesis along with enthusiasm and energy.
