Thigpen Energy Becomes Dual Fuel Equipment Distributor

HOUSTON, May 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Thigpen Energy is pleased to announce being selected as the newest distributor for both the Hythane Optiblend dual fuel conversion system and the Bergari engine exhaust product lines.

Through a relationship with Power Equipment Group in Houston, TX, Thigpen has formed this new partnership with Hythane and Bergari in order to provide drilling and pressure pumping conversion customers the most comprehensive conversion package in the oil and gas market.  As a direct distributor of both product lines, Thigpen can now offer the entire engine conversion package which includes dual fuel conversion, installation of the diesel oxidation catalyst, as well as gas piping header fabrication and installation.

Thigpen field personnel have been successful in converting over 30 high horsepower diesel engines during the past year.  This was accomplished through a direct service offering to the Hythane Company and with factory trained personnel.

Thigpen's selection of the Bergari diesel oxidation catalyst was solidified upon the successful completion of emissions testing at the engine lab, in combination with the Hythane Optiblend system. The emissions testing results were above expectation, therefore it was natural for Thigpen to offer the combined system as a complete conversion package to oil and gas customers.
