This Friday, SPEEDVEGAS' Track To Open To The Public With Special Opening Festivities
SPEEDVEGAS Owners to Race through the Ribbon as They Drive the First Lap
LAS VEGAS, April 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- This Friday, April 15, the award-winning SPEEDVEGAS will officially "start its engines" for the public with the ceremonial track opening, marking the first in a series of opening events for Las Vegas' newest attraction.
Media check-in will be at 10:30 a.m. for a special drive or ride opportunity before the track opens.
At 11 a.m., the first 100 people at the gate will drive or ride three laps for free. The next 200 will receive the special offer, "Bring a Friend, Drive for Free."
The opening day event will begin at 12 p.m. with the National Anthem to be performed by "Lady Gaga" from "Legends in Concert," a helicopter flyover and a special guest appearance. Next, SPEEDVEGAS founders Aaron Fessler and Tom Mizzone will race through the ribbon to celebrate the official opening of the track. That will be followed by a multi-million-dollar parade lap of SPEEDVEGAS supercars. Afterward, the public will be welcomed onto the track.
Media in attendance will also get a sneak peek of what is to come this summer when the rest of the $30 million motorsports complex opens, including the 22,000-square-foot, 2-story welcome center featuring indoor and outdoor observation decks, café and meetings and event space.
Starting Friday, guests will have full access to SPEEDVEGAS' exotic supercar and muscle car driving experiences. Upon arrival, they can select a car from SPEEDVEGAS' fleet of the world's most sought-after supercars including models by Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Audi and Shelby. From there, they will drive on SPEEDVEGAS' 1.5-mile track which includes 12 sweeping turns, 20-degree banked turns, 60 feet of total elevation change and a half-mile straight.
On April 16 and April 17 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Nevada residents and active or retired military with a valid ID will receive this special offer: bring a non-perishable food item and receive $25 off any SPEEDVEGAS package. Donations will benefit Veterans Village Las Vegas.
SPEEDVEGAS is located at 14200 S. Las Vegas Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89054, minutes south of the "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign (Exit 25 on Interstate 15).
