Thoughtfish & R2Games Join Forces
Partnership to bring new AR title to market.
HONG KONG, Jan. 18, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Global games publisher R2Games, and Thoughtfish, a Germany based development studio, are joining forces to bring forward their first collaboration project - a context sensitive online AR game, to audiences worldwide.
Fightlings is an innovative take on the 2016 smash hit Pokemon-GO, tasking players with finding, training, and battling digital creatures in real world environments using augmented reality on their smart devices. However, the systems driving the game are far more fleshed out than what other similar titles have to offer. A creature clan system, as well as real world location, time of day, weather, and crowd tracking affects what players will find in-game. This creates a more complex, engaging, and rewarding gameplay experience.
R2Games is thrilled to be working with the talented designers, artists, and coders over at Thoughtfish - a cutting edge player in the AR development market. By using aggregated data streams of weather, location, temperature, topography, vegetation, and more, Thoughtfish is able to generate exciting new, context sensitive in-game experiences.

About Thoughtfish
Founded in 2013, Thoughtfish develops gamified apps and games for mobile devices. Mid-2014, marked the start of development of their first title "Trucify - Comfortable Truth", a gamified market research app available on iOS and Android. It was developed by a team of five. As of today the team consists of 10 employees with a mix of young developers and industry veterans (i.e. from Kabam, Yager, Wooga), with over 50 years of collective industry experience. Fightlings received funding from ProFIT (European Union) and Medienboard Berlin Brandenburg (German Government).
