Three Bridges Shares Quick & Easy Dinner Ideas for Busy School Nights

BENICIA, Calif., Aug. 15, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Back to school means the return of hectic morning schedules, after-school activities and homework. A busy fall agenda doesn't mean having to compromise on serving wholesome and delicious family dinners. Three Bridges, known for its premium line of refrigerated pastas and sauces, shares simple, convenient and delicious recipes for the upcoming school year and beyond.

A recent study on fast food consumption conducted by the University of Michigan-Dearborn Economics found that it's the busiest people—often the middle class—that consume the most fast food.

Chef Craig Schauffel, vice president of research and culinary innovation at Three Bridges, invites families to buck the trends. "When school is back in session, quick and easy dinners are essential for keeping the family on schedule and on track with healthy nutrition," said Schauffel. "Instead of resorting to take-out, which is often high in sodium and trans fats, keep it simple and stress-free with these family-friendly dinner hacks, courtesy of Three Bridges."

• Lazy Lasagna—Swap out time-consuming layers of noodles and ricotta for Spinach & Cheese Ravioli and Heirloom Marinara Sauce. A delicious twist on your classic lasagna dish, this casserole takes just five minutes to assemble and can be popped in the oven while the kids do their homework for the ultimate weeknight dinner hack.
• Creamy Cheddar Kale Pesto Mac & Cheese Casserole—Give traditional mac 'n cheese a superfood makeover by adding some flavorful Kale Pesto Sauce to Three Bridges Creamy Cheddar Macaroni & Cheese Kit. It's a great way to sneak in nutrition for even the pickiest of eaters!
• One-Pot Ravioli in Creamy Tomato Beef Sauce—Save time on busy school nights by opting for one-pot recipes, like this hearty one-pot ravioli dish featuring grilled cheese croutons. Fresh basil, ground beef, red chili flakes and fontina cheese create the perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors that will have the family coming back for seconds.
• Tortellini Veggie Soup—When the temperatures begin to drop, you can make a hearty soup in 15 minutes using fresh green beans, peas, carrots and your favorite Spinach and Cheese Tortellini.
