Three Genesis HealthCare Locations Change Names

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., Oct. 24, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Genesis HealthCare today announced that three Genesis HealthCare locations in Albuquerque officially changed their names to better reflect the changes taking place within the Centers and Genesis.

The three Genesis locations with name changes include:

St. John Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center changed to: Sandia Ridge Center
St. Theresa Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center changed to:
Uptown Rehabilitation Center
St. Catherine Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center changed to:
Bear Canyon Rehabilitation Center

Genesis HealthCare is one the nation's largest skilled nursing providers operating approximately 500 skilled nursing centers and senior living residences in 34 states. The three Albuquerque locations are undergoing $3 million in physical renovations and clinical investments. In addition to new interiors and leadership changes, Bear Canyon Rehabilitation Center received an expansion of private rooms in its Short Stay Transitional Care Unit and Sandia Ridge Center received a new Mental Health and Recovery Unit. An additional seven Genesis locations in the Albuquerque market are undergoing $4 million in improvements as well.

These name changes also come on the heels of Genesis's new brand roll out which is about a dedication to keeping patients vital and full of life as much as possible no matter what their clinical condition. The new look reflects a brand of Vitality and the new logo symbolizes a movement forward and upward for the better.
