Three New Exhibitions Come to the Coral Springs Museum of Art this December

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla., Nov. 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Art and culture is at the forefront in South Florida this December. On the heels of Miami Beach's Art Basel, the Coral Springs Museum of Art will unveil its latest installment of art with three brand new exhibitions on Saturday, December 3, 2016.

"Winter here in South Florida is an art lover's dream," said Julia Andrews, Executive Director of the Coral Springs Museum of Art. "We welcome locals as well as tourists from all over the globe to the Museum this time of year. This new installment is diverse and complex and we know it will draw a crowd."

For those who would like to meet the artists themselves, the Coral Springs Museum of Art will host a complimentary cocktail reception from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 8, 2016.

"We want our guests to connect on a deeper level with the art we exhibit," said Andrews. "What better way to embrace the meaning behind the works than to obtain first-hand insight from the artists themselves."

The following five artists will be exhibiting at the Coral Springs Museum of Art for this new installment.

J. Steven Manolis
"Making Abstraction Dynamic"

A Miami-based contemporary abstract painter, Manolis specializes in abstract
expressionism with an emphasis on color and the conflict of simplicity meeting complexity. His three-month solo exhibition at the Coral Springs Museum of Art is curated by renowned art critic, Bruce Helander. His work will be on view through February 28, 2017.

Ricardo Garcia, Carlos Zerpabzueta, and Martha Rodriguez
"Converging Divergences"

Curated by Eduardo Chacon, this exhibition brings together the works of three very talented international artists each highly proficient in their own genre.

This group's exhibition runs through December 24, 2016.

Isabel Perez Salazar
"50"

Venezuelan born, Salazar, is a fine art and mixed media artist. With more than twenty years of exhibiting nationally and internationally, she has an expansive artistic career and looks to Florida as a source of inspiration. "Creating the exhibition "Fifty" is my way of expressing my gratitude for the opportunity the United States has given me and my family," says Salazar. Her vivid mixed-media pieces pop with color and depict personal experiences dear to the artist. Her exhibit runs through January 28, 2017.
