Three-Time PGA Tour Winner Hunter Mahan Inks Sponsorship Deal With Sun Life Financial
Announcement of multi-year deal comes as Mahan set to defend Waste Management Phoenix Open Title
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Wasserman Media Group and Sun Life Financial today announced a partnership between Wasserman client Hunter Mahan and the leading financial services organization. The multi-year agreement, which marks Sun Life's first sponsorship deal in the world of professional golf, features the Sun Life logo prominently displayed on the side of Mahan's headwear during all competitive events. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Mahan had one of the most notable seasons on the PGA Tour in 2010, with two PGA Tour victories, eight top-25 finishes, and a spot on the United States Ryder Cup Team. Mahan will defend his 2010 title this week at the Waste Management Phoenix Open at the TPC Scottsdale in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Under the terms of the agreement, Sun Life will receive category exclusivity and the right to use Mahan's name and likeness globally. The deal also includes personal appearances, a golf clinic hosted by the PGA Tour star and hospitality benefits.
