Thycotic Launches Free Browser Stored Password Discovery Tool

Using this tool, IT and security professionals will be alerted with a report of passwords being stored in a browser and by identifying these risks, enhance the security within their organization in response to employees clicking "remember password" on browsers.

This free Windows Tool uses Active Directory to scan local Windows machines for passwords stored in Chrome and Firefox browsers. The information collected can be saved as both a CSV or a PDF file and users can download the tool once and have it for lifetime.  The report includes information such as the number of passwords each user has stored and the top sites that have stored passwords on local machines; easily see if salesforce.com or online banking passwords are being stored in user browsers.
