TI Automotive, a leading global supplier of fluid storage, carrying and delivery technology, has been honoured for Innovative Partnership at the 2017 Automotive News PACE Awards for the Port Fuel and Direct Injection System (PFDI). The system and technology - which is currently deployed on Ford F-150 models with the all-new second-generation 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine - were developed through a collaboration between Ford, Bosch and TI Automotive.
The award was presented at the 2017 Automotive News PACE Awards Ceremony held in Detroit on April 3.

The key technical challenge of the project was to bring the two fuel systems (low and high pressure) together in an environment traditionally accommodated by only one. In order to deliver Ford an effective solution, the three companies worked closely together to optimize the packaging and electronic tuning of the two fuel injection systems.
