TIBCO and Pluribus Networks Partner to Deliver Hardware Messaging Solutions

PALO ALTO, Calif., Sept. 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Pluribus Networks™ announced it has partnered with TIBCO Software Inc. to deliver TIBCO Enterprise Message Service™ Appliance and TIBCO FTL® Message Switch.

High-performance messaging requires ultra-low latency and extreme bandwidth on the network, along with large memories and high-speed storage. These hardware capabilities have typically been delivered in multiple boxes, forcing messaging applications to make trade-offs between performance, reliability and manageability. TIBCO and Pluribus combine to achieve these goals in a convenient, easily deployed hardware-based solution.

Pluribus Networks Netvisor® is a programmable, distributed network operating system that runs on Pluribus Networks' highly-optimized Server-Switch™ hardware. Netvisor provides a platform for fabric-based computing that enables applications to move into the network, and to serve both physical and virtual computing infrastructure.

Together with Pluribus Networks F64 Server-Switch™, Netvisor optimizes the paths among applications, reduces the cost and latency associated with unnecessary network hops, and brings inline network appliances to their data stream.

TIBCO Enterprise Message Service Appliance and TIBCO FTL Message Switch are scheduled to be generally available from TIBCO by the end of November, 2012.
