Ticketmaster Hires Larry Plawsky As Head Of Marketplaces

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Ticketmaster, a division of Live Nation Entertainment (NYSE: LYV), today announced that Larry Plawsky has joined the company as the Senior Vice President and Head of Ticketmaster Marketplaces. Plawsky is a veteran ecommerce and consumer goods expert bringing more than 20 years of management and marketing expertise to the position. He will play a key leadership role in extending the company's recent success in resale marketplaces, which are coming off their best year in the company's history. In 2014, the company saw a 300% sales increase in concerts resale and has now resold more than 5.6 million Ticketmaster Verified tickets.

In this role he oversaw strategy, business development, website management, digital and traditional marketing, product development, global sourcing and supply chain management, merchandising, pricing, and branding. Earlier in his career, Plawsky held senior marketing and brand management positions at some of the country's leading consumer companies including Procter & Gamble, Beam Global and ServiceMaster.
