While each of these team members brings experience and individual skillsets, the addition of a new leadership member – Gary van Mook as Director of DBA Services – has Tier1 confident that service delivery will continue to improve and align with the company's rapid growth.

van Mook's background positions him for success in this role. His work experience includes senior roles at Carnegie Mellon University, Duquesne University, Oracle Corporation, and Computer Sciences Corporation. He has served on both sides of the IT function, in industry and as an external consultant, including 18 years as an Oracle Corporation Consultant concentrating on implementations and upgrades, and also as an Oracle Corporation Customer Services Director focusing on provisioning, monitoring, refreshes, patching and incident management.
van Mook's focus at Tier1 will be overseeing the delivery of DBA Services, including upgrades, patching, health checks, and proactive environment monitoring and tuning. He will also be managing implementation projects for Tier1's customers.
In explaining how his background will benefit him in his new role with Tier1, van Mook states, "I have extensive project management, service delivery management and people management experience, and in my role at Tier1, I'll be using that experience on a daily basis to guarantee the success of our customers."
