Tiger Group and Can-Am Machinery Set Oct. 8 Live Webcast Auction for Total Fiber Recovery Equipment
Turnkey and bulk acquisition opportunities remain available in advance of the auction for the recently commissioned 600-TPD OCC pulping, dewatering, drying and packaging facility.
CHESAPEAKE, Va., Sept. 17, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Tiger Group and Can-Am Machinery, Inc. today announced a dual-track sale process for machinery and equipment (M&E) from Total Fiber Recovery @ Chesapeake, a recently commissioned old corrugated containers (OCC) fiber-processing and recycled pulp production facility.
Tiger and Can-Am are currently accepting offers for the complete facility and major integrated systems while preparations continue for the Oct. 8 live webcast auction. Interested turnkey and bulk buyers are encouraged to submit offers in advance of the auction.
Bidding in the Live Online TigerCast Auction will open on Thurs., Oct. 1, at 10:30 a.m. (ET) and close on Thurs., Oct. 8, at 10:30 a.m. (ET) at SoldTiger.com.
The dual-track sale features pulping, screening, dewatering, drying, baling and packaging systems from Total Fiber Recovery's 45,000-square-foot Chesapeake facility, which was outfitted to process 100% post-consumer recycled fiber and produce kraft-wrapped recycled pulp bales.
"We are seeing interest from strategic buyers considering the complete facility and major integrated systems, while we are simultaneously preparing for the Oct. 8 auction," said John Coelho, Senior Director, Tiger Commercial & Industrial. "This dual-track process gives buyers flexibility to pursue the assets on a turnkey, system or individual-equipment basis.
Dan Nigrosh, President and Founder of Can-Am Machinery, noted that the late-model pulp-production equipment saw limited operating service. "This was a modern, 600-ton-per-day OCC pulping, screening and drying operation that was only beginning commercial production when funding challenges interrupted operations," he said. "The M&E available here is difficult to replicate without long lead times and a big capital investment. It's a great opportunity."
The facility includes equipment from industry-leading suppliers, including Kadant Black Clawson, Bellmer Kufferath and TSI. Highlights include a TSI rotary drum dryer system featuring a Hauck burner and Clarage induced-draft fan; Kadant pulping, screening and dewatering systems; baling and packaging equipment; plant utilities; electrical distribution infrastructure; and a substantial inventory of spare parts.
The Oct. 8 live webcast auction will be conducted by Wayne Hecht (CAI, GPPA), Senior Director of Operations for Tiger Commercial & Industrial.
The Total Fiber Recovery @ Chesapeake facility was designed to produce up to 200,000 metric tons of unbleached recycled pulp annually and is strategically located near the Port of Norfolk, providing advantageous logistics for both domestic and export markets.
