Tim Keef Named New Director Of Marketing And Communications At UC Irvine Extension

IRVINE, Calif., Jan. 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- University of California, Irvine Extension, the continuing education arm of UC Irvine, has appointed Tim Keef as director of marketing and communications. With extensive experience in digital marketing, Keef has been tapped to lead the marketing, public relations and branding initiatives for the continuing education unit of the university.

"Tim's vast knowledge of marketing, SEO development and effective use of social media platforms will serve as a crucial asset for UC Irvine Extension," said Gary W. As director of marketing and communications, Keef will lead the promotion of UC Irvine Extension's certificate and specialized study programs. This includes sharing the school's academic achievements in business, engineering and sciences, education, and other departments. In addition, Keef will head the planning of new branding and messaging during his tenure.

Prior to joining UC Irvine Extension, Keef served as the Head of Online Marketing at RED Digital Cinema and before that, as the Senior Manager of Marketing at Disney/ABC Television Group. Keef was responsible for driving traffic to both companies' websites and growing revenue generation through SEO, SEM, social media, partnerships and advertising placements. His past experience also includes working on the marketing teams for ABC News, Venture Direct Worldwide and LinkShare Corporation. Keef earned a bachelor's degree in English and Creative Writing from the University of Arizona.
