Tim Mahoney Headlines Memorial Blood Centers' What's Your Type? Benefit

ST. PAUL, Minn., March 17 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Minnesota music sensation Tim Mahoney will be returning to perform live at this year's annual What's Your Type? event on April 22, 2010, which will benefit Memorial Blood Centers, an independent nonprofit organization that supplies life-saving blood and biomedical expertise to area hospital partners.

Mahoney has been performing for over 10 years and has released five solo albums, including his most recent, Stay/Leave, which displays his unique skills as a musician and composer. Mahoney was the winner of the MySpace/Rolling Stone Magazine Ray-Ban 'Never Hide' music contest in 2008. His rock/pop music with bittersweet lyrics also earned him a two-page spread in Rolling Stone Magazine's 40th Anniversary issue, as well as a live performance at the anniversary party. Well-known throughout the Midwest, Mahoney performs more than 150 shows every year, has sold over 120,000 units as an independent artist, and in the Spring of 2009, was selected as one of the Twin Cities' 40 Under 40 by The Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.  Most recently, Mahoney was selected by Target as part of its Emerging Artists Program, making his Stay/Leave CD available at 500 Target stores throughout the Midwest.

What's Your Type? will be held Thursday, April 22nd, 2010 at 704 North Prior Avenue in Saint Paul. The benefit will include delicious food and beverages hosted by 15 locally owned and operated Twin Cities Originals' restaurants, a live auction that will include a 1-hour private (in-home or office) solo performance from Tim Mahoney, a silent auction, and more attractions. Tickets are $75 and all proceeds from What's Your Type? go to further Memorial Blood Centers' mission and provide additional financial support for the organization's efforts to replace an inefficient and outdated fleet with a new bloodmobile that will improve service to all the generous donors who give the gift of life through blood donations.
