Tito Beveridge, Distiller of Popular Tito's Handmade Vodka, To Visit Philadelphia-Area Wine & Spirits Stores Feb. 22-23
Will Autograph Purchased Bottles in Doylestown, Ardmore
HARRISBURG, Pa., Feb. 18 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Tito Beveridge, a one-time Texas oil driller whose handmade corn vodka is sought out by vodka sippers and cocktail enthusiasts, will meet fans and sign bottles of his vodka at the PA Wine & Spirits Stores in Doylestown on Monday, Feb. 22, and in Ardmore on Tuesday, Feb. 23.
The two Philadelphia-area stores sell more Tito's Handmade Vodka than any other of the state's 620 Wine & Spirits Stores.
"We're thrilled to have a visit from Tito Beveridge, whose award-winning vodka has helped to drive the success of American-made artisanal spirits now so popular around the country," said Patrick "P.J." Stapleton III, chairman of the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board. "I'm proud our stores were quick to respond to the positive word-of-mouth coming out of Texas and supply this great product to Pennsylvanians."
Beveridge, who formerly ran oil-drilling crews in Venezuela and Colombia, once made flavored vodkas as gifts for friends and family. He later began distilling his own unflavored vodka as a one man-operation, financed with savings and credit cards. Tito's, which produced its first case in 1997, is now billed as Texas' "first and oldest distiller." Beveridge uses 100 percent American corn and makes the vodka in old-fashioned pot stills, distilling it six times for optimal taste and purity.
Beveridge will greet customers and sign purchased bottles from 5-7 p.m., Monday, Feb. 22, at the PA Wine & Spirits Store at 132 Veterans Lane, Doylestown; and from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 23, at the store at 56 Greenfield Ave., Ardmore.
A free tasting of Tito's will be available at both events to those 21 and older.
For the month of February, Tito's Handmade Vodka is on sale in Pennsylvania for $17.99 for 750 ml.
