GILBERT, Ariz., May 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Ugly Meter, for iPhone and iPad, has dominated all other apps in the iTunes app store and has claimed the #1 spot in the iTunes charts. Former leader Angry Birds Space, which was at the top of the charts since its release, has finally met a worthy challenger and fallen to number 2.
The advanced version, Ugly Meter Pro, scans the user's bone structure by measuring over 100 facial points and using the calculations to issue an attractiveness score on a 1-100 scale. It uses published science based on the Golden Ratio to mathematically calculate beauty. In 2012 alone, over 22 million faces have been scanned by the Ugly Meter, which allows users to tweet their scores and post them to Facebook to prove how beautiful or ugly they are.

Though as the app store gets more competitive, it gets increasingly hard to reach staggering numbers like these.
