The service, provided in partnership with Roampay® includes a small swiping device, provided by the company that plugs into the headphone jack on the phone.   This enables the merchant to process the charge as a "qualified" retail transaction since the device reads the card information directly from magnetic strip like traditional credit card machines. Accordingly the merchant pays the lower qualified rate as opposed to the higher rates associated with keyed-entry type transactions.  When a charge is submitted and approved, a receipt is automatically sent to the customer's email.    The processing gateway provided by Roampay® is secure and is totally PCI-DSS and PA-DSS compliant.
