WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif., April 2, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ --  Dr. Bernard Luskin, CEO and Senior Provost of Touro University Worldwide announced the first graduates participating in a commencement scheduled for June 3, 2012 in Westlake Village, California.  Master's degree recipients completing the Industrial and Organizational Psychology are included in the graduating class.

"The I-O Psychology Program is a 21st-century program designed to help employees in all types of organizations collaborate and function more effectively in today's changing world. The nature of change has changed, and we must change with it," asserted Luskin.

"Organizations today are immersed in a dramatic change never before experienced in history," added Dr. Arnie Dahlke, Chair of the program.  "Globalization, new technologies connecting everyone, everywhere plus increasing diversity of the workforce challenge people to adapt to new ways of thinking.  The TUW M.A. Program in I-O Psychology is designed to help people meet today's challenge."

"I am particularly proud of our scholar-practitioner approach to learning," said Dahlke. "Every professor is committed to helping students translate the latest theories and research into practical applications in a student's own workplace. The degree may be earned online in easy-to-manage eight-week terms. Courses are designed to be convenient for busy working people."

"I can confirm the phenomenal atmosphere this university creates bringing us together across time zones and distance," says Leslie Finley, a student in the program. "As an active duty military member, I must solve time issues. The staff at Touro has always been helpful and promptly accommodated each request.  The customer service here is top notch. I am proud to be a student in the MA degree program."

Nati Weiss, one of the first graduates of the program, is equally enthusiastic. "It's a phenomenal program," he says. "Every professor is aware of our busy work lives and is very flexible in terms of participation and assignments. The course content has been valuable in sharpening my career focus. When I first started the program I was interested in working in Human Resources. Course by course, this program gave me very valuable information about how to manage a Human Resource department and how to deal with people at every level in any organization."

TUW is now enrolling new students in the program every day.
